According to information taken from the International Genealogy Index (I.G.I.), Mary Jewell was baptised on the 30th November 1734, in the Parish of Wendron, Cornwall, England. Mary was second child of Mathias Jewell and Grace Pedler.

A further search of the I.G.I., has discovered that Mary married Allen Odgers on the 23rd August 1766 in the Parish of Wendron. According to the I.G.I., Mary and Allen had 5 children, all showing as being baptised in the Parish of Wendron. They were;

Mary Odgers	- baptised 17th July 1768
Christian Odgers	- baptised 15th July 1770
John Odgers	- baptised 25th December 1771
Elizabeth Odgers	- baptised 5th November 1775
William Odgers	- baptised 19th May 1779
