William Jewell was the fifth child of Mathias Jewell and Grace Pedler and was baptised on 2nd February 1745 in the Parish of Wendron, Cornwall.

According to research I have collected and information from the International Genealogy Index (I.G.I.), William married Jane Moyle in 1768, in the Parish of Wendron. I was also able to discover William and Jane had 2 children, both shown as being baptised in the Parish of Wendron. They were;

William Jewell	- baptised 8th January 1769
Matthew Jewell	- baptised 30th September 1770
