According to information taken from the International Genealogy Index (I.G.I.), Absolam Jewell was baptised on the 23rd June 1754, in the Parish of Wendron, Cornwall and was the seventh child of Mathias Jewell and Grace Pedler

Absolam is a slight enigma. You see Absolam had a cousin also called Absolam who was baptised on the 28th October 1750. According to the I.G.I, there is a record of an Absolam Jewell marrying a Sarah Tregonning on the 5th of December 1773, in the Parish of Wendron. At this stage I am not certain which Absolam married Sarah.
