According to information taken from the International Genealogy Index (I.G.I.), Absolam Jewell was baptised on the 29th May 1721, and was was the fourth child of Mathias Jewell and Jane Jenkin

On the 15th of September 1745 Absolam married Catherine Davies (daughter of Philip and Catherine Davies) in the Parish of Wendron. According to the I.G.I. Absolam and Catherine had 5 children. All showing as being baptised in the Parish of Wendron, Cornwall. They were
