Joane Jewell was the fourth child of Humphrie and Jone Jewell, and was baptised on the 14th May 1637, in the Parish of Marhamchurch, Cornwall. After searching the I.G.I., I discovered that Joane married John Pollard on the 18th August 1665, in the neighbouring Parish of Poughill.

A subsequent search of the I.G.I., also discovered that Joane and John had 2 children, a small number during these times. There details are as follows;

John Pollard	- baptised 27th August 1666
Nicholas Pollard	- baptised 25th July 1670
