Henry Jenkin was the fourth child of Sussanah Jewell and William Jenkin, and was baptised on 1st August 1790, in the Parish of Wendron.

According to the I.G.I., Henry married Mary Aver, on the 9th May 1808, in Redruth, Cornwall. I also discovered that Mary was the daughter of Thomas and Ann Aver, and was baptised on the 12th February 1787 in the Parish of St Ithians.

A further search of the I.G.I., has discovered that Henry and Mary had 7 children, all baptised in the Parish of Wendron. They were;

William Jenkin	- baptised 15th June 1809
Eliza Jenkin	- baptised 29th June 1815
Joseph Jenkin	- baptised 27th May 1817
Grace Jenkin	- baptised 10th April 1821
Ann Jenkin	- baptised 10th April 1821
Martha Jenkin	- baptised 31st December 1826
Thomas Jenkin	- baptised 30th May 1830
