Thomas was the second child of Thomas and Mary Sherme. He was baptised on the 2th May 1689, in the Parish of Kilkhampton.

According to the I.G.I., Thomas married Agnes Tucker on the 13th of October 1714, in the Parish of Morwenstow. The only record I could find of an Agnes Tuckers being born/baptised, was on the 11th June 1693 in Saint Stephan by Launceston, which is a fair way from Morwenstow. I also discovered that Thomas and Agnes had 6 children, all shown as being born in the Parish of Morwenstow. They were;

John Sherme	- born 26th August 1715
Edward Sherme	- born 9th January 1718
Abraham Sherme	- born 20th August 1720
Joanna Sherme	- born 2nd August 1722
Damaris Sherme	- born 1st October 1724
Edward Sherme	- born 27th October 1726

At this stage I have not been able to determine whether any of the above children married, whether they had children of their own, or what became of them.
